About Guided Wave
Guided Wave
Your Single Source Process Analytical Chemistry Solution
|
Guided Wave specializes in on-line optical measurements for process analytical chemistry. We design complete UV/VIS/NIR instrument systems and sample conditioning systems that are used continuously, on-line, in real-time under the rigors of the manufacturing plant environment. Since our invention of the first commercial fiber optic spectrometer for chemical analysis, we have over 20 years of experience and over 600 installed systems worldwide, serving the following industries:
- Polymer
- Chemistry
- Petroleum
- Pharmaceutical
- Sterilization
- Semiconductor
From simple measurements of water in acid to more complex measurements, such as octane and oxygenates in refineries, or acid value and hydroxyl number in polymer melts,
Guided Wave is your single source process measurement solution. We manufacture complete systems, including spectrophotometers, photometers, optical fiber cables and sample probes. We provide you with just the level of complexity you need to solve your problem with minimal after-installation maintenance.
Our mission is to guide you through your on-line process application assessment, analyzer selection, calibration development, training and after-installation support. Guided Wave pioneered remote NIR process analysis. As industry applications have evolved, so have our solutions, so you get the most reliable, affordable products available.
- Quickly assess feasibility based upon our extensive on-line experience, or from an analysis of a representative suite of your samples using complete UV/VIS or NIR spectral analysis.
- Decide upon the process analyzer technology needed to solve the problem – multiple wavelength photometers or spectrophotometers.
- Refine the analyzer selection based upon the expected variability of your sample matrix and the number of sample points you need monitored by the analyzer.
- Further guide the selection based upon your on-line experience in calibrating and maintaining process analyzers.
- Assist you in determining the type of sample interface with a sample probe that is best suited for your process environment, such as flow probes for slip streams or insertion probes for large pipes or reactor vessels.
- Test to ensure that all the parts integrate together and work properly prior to shipping.
- Provide commissioning assistance, training and after-installation support, to ensure your installation is a success.
